March Reflection

March has been exciting and stressful all at the same time. From being busy at work, meeting with potential partners, planning and scheduling SRP, revealing our strategic plan to the community, and health issues with my mother, I'm amazed I haven't decided to pack up and take a vacation.

But I am here, and wonderful things are happening!!

I was invited as well as my director, Jennifer, to a workforce summit meeting in my county. Jennifer is going to speak about what's going on at the library and also about the grant and how we can help with what they are planning.

The meeting my director and I are going to at the end of April!

We also revealed our strategic plan to the community and everyone was very enthusiastic and supportive. We are hoping to get a whole new building in 10 years to support the growth of our county. We estimated that by 2025 there would be approximately 50,000 people in our county. We won't be so rural anymore!

I've met with some amazing people so far who are so willing to partner with the library for CCR, and that is honestly so inspiring to me. We meet with Greg Lowe (Carol's nephew) this Friday during the pre workforce summit meeting and he is doing such an amazing job in Marshall County already with college and career readiness, though his focus is more on the industrial side of the spectrum.

I'm sure April will bring it's stresses as well, but I'm sure I can make it through them all.

***Please send prayers/ good vibes and thoughts to my mother this month. She has to have quadruple bypass surgery.
