I chose a post from AMLE that talks about the importance and successes of mentoring programs for middle school ages. This post talks about the middle school needs that come with social and emotional changes that take place during middle school. As a way to provide the attention needed to these area of the students' lives, many schools have a mentor program that provide opportunities for the students to develop many different responsible qualities. The post also discusses exactly what mentoring is and what it entails for middle school students, as well as the effectiveness of mentors on the school system as a whole.
