Today was my meeting with the intermediate and high school principle, Jennifer Zierden. And contrary to my worrisome thoughts, my meeting went incredibly well!! She was completely open and excited about the career fair, picked one of the two days I had offered, and told me that she didn't want this event to be the only one!!
She also wants the middle grades to have early access to possible career paths. She wants to bring in careers from the community to talk to children about the paths they can take and can't wait for any other program ideas I may have!
She also wants to find various ways to include parents in the discussion, which is something I've been struggling with. I'm so excited to have added Jennifer as a strong partner in our Future Ready endeavor.
